Job Title: Senior Network Engineer/Administrator

Job Location: Rockville, MD or Sterling, VA (Hybrid)

Eligibility/Clearance: US Citizen or Green Card/Permanent Resident with

the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance. This position

supports a Federal contract.



Job Description:

customer. As a Senior Network Engineer/Administrator you will help

ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our client’s work depends

on this role to maintain HRSA's Hosting, Network, Security, Server,

Identity and Access Management, and Tier II Operations in support of the

HRSA mission. 

Must be willing to work after hours and weekends during maintenance

windows on-site on an as-needed basis (10-25% expected travel to

data center sites)

JOB DUTIES:



- 24x7x365 infrastructure operations support serving in on-call

rotation 



- Hybrid Environment (Azure and on-prem) / Experience in Azure

required 



- Working within team for successful completion of all tasks within

the Statement of Work for assigned area of responsibility. That

includes: Network, Security, DNS, DHCP, VOIP, Identity and Access

Management, and Server Operations. 



- Will review monitoring tools to identify trends and proactive

identification of potential customer impacting events. 



- Recommending changes to processes or procedures to improve

efficiency or reduce costs in future projects. 



- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software with

IT infrastructure.   



 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 



- Bachelor’s degree in related field. Four (4) additional years of

experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree. 



- 10+ years of related experience 



- 6+ years of experience working in a Hybrid (Azure/On-Prem) Application

hosting environment technologies such as: Network Infrastructure

Operations; Azure Networking; Administration; Patch Management;

Vulnerability Remediation; Security Compliance; Performance

Monitoring/Tuning; Cisco Catalyst; Cisco Nexus; Citrix; VPN; PKI.



- Demonstrated ability to support a 24x7x365 environment and work in

on-call rotation with ability to respond to Rockville or Sterling Data

Center 



REQUIRED SKILLS



- Experience with NetScaler Citrix



- Expert with Cisco switches network software upgrades



- Troubleshoot complex network issues



- Vulnerability Remediation Process



- Update technical documentation, maintaining & implementation of the

SOP for network security (a must)



- Cisco IPsec VPN troubleshooting



- Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)



- SolarWinds automation scripts



- Cisco ASA Firewall 5500 / Firepower (A Must)



- Palo Alto Firewalls Panorama



- Azure experience with NSGs Networking



- Analyzing PCAP Files using Wireshark



- LAN, WAN, Wireless, and various network technologies



- Change Management Process



- TLS certificates renewals and installs



- Troubleshooting using Riverbed, Splunk, and other tools as available

Demonstrated ability to support a 24x7x365 environment and work in

Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully

pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the

completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting.
