Job Description
Technical SETA and Project Manager for Influence Operations We are
seeking a Subject Matter Expert or Senior level technical individual for
this critical program role. This highly specialized role will support a
government agency managing external organizations involved in technical,
academic, and social science research and development. These positions
will directly support the Program Managers in a Technical SETA capacity
(Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Assistance). This is a
multi-disciplinary R&D initiative with potential T&E components based on
quantitative analytic methods.
The program is targeting influence operations initiated by a broad range
of actors. Required experience across Cyber and Information Operations,
National Counterintelligence Strategy and Mission based counter intel.
Strong working knowledge of Open Source Intelligence, methods of
collection, tools and social media research. Understanding of campaign
tactics, target acquisition and exploitation, vectors of approach and
generative adversarial networks.
Candidates must have proven ability to represent highly technical
content. A writing sample not to exceed 10 pages that is solely authored
must be included with application. This may include a thesis, technical
memo or email communication on a technical subject.
The start date will be Jan 1, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Active participation in various engagements as Subject Matter Expert
to include meetings, workshops and conferences.
- Provide accurate and concise technical summaries regularly including
analysis and risks.
- Technical coordination and engagement between Government and
Industry and Academic partners.
- Synthesize critical information across multiple domains,
applications and technologies.
- Interface and Communications with senior project and government
parties.
Requirements:
- MS or PhD in quantitative social science, data analytics,
mathematics, computer science or related STEM field.
- Minimum 3 years experience with socio-technical systems research.
- Minimum 1 year in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment
- Knowledge of social science persuasion, propaganda and influence
- Experience with psychological profiling, psychographic analysis and
predictive analytics tools for behavior patterns.
- Experience with generative adversarial networks (GANs) to simulate
and detect misinformation and related content
- Strong statistical and data science methodologies including
regressions, clustering algorithms and NLP techniques for sentiment
analysis.
- TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to work on site at a Maryland location or at a designated
contractor facility.
Bonus Skills / Experience – Preferred Consideration for Candidates who
have:
- Program Management experience with plans, WBS and schedules
- Experience with the Department of Defense (DOD or Intelligence
Community (IC)
