Description:

Title: VDI Engineer
Location: On site in St. Louis, MO
Citizenship/Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI clearance required. This position supports a government contract.

What you will be working on:

-Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues.
-Provide guidance on the optimization of desktops for platform interoperability.
-Act as a liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
-Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks related to Virtual Desktops.
-Maintain advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of VDI-related technologies.
-Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
-Apply extensive technical expertise and knowledge of other related disciplines.
-Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and "make buy" decisions.

Required:

-Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products.
-5+ years of experience with a BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education.
-Experience progressing from Administrator to Senior Engineer.
-Proficiency with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later, Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS), Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX, Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM), Citrix App Layering, Liquidware Profile Unity, and Hyper-V, VMware VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs).

Highly Desired:

-Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering.
-Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
-Familiarity with System Center Virtual Machine Manager/VMware vCenter 6.7.
-Knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policies, Home Directory and Profile management, and Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services.
